Small groups, Novi Banovci, 30th April 2011

Star Dance has started the competition season on 30th April, in Novi Banovci successfully. 1st place in Small Groups Disco Dance category for Kids, 2nd place for Juniors, great show of Hip Hop dancers and a little bit disappointing performance of Adult disco dancers. Kids are the national champions in competition of nine small groups and Ana Simic’s choreography was also rewarded by the audience. Juniors were the greatest surprise and by gaining 2nd place they confirmed Ana Simic’s choreography, but also the efforts invested. Our Adult girls’ performance objectively wasn’t so good. Though the entire group is great selection of dancers and they were expected to be the champions, they gained only the 4th place. These facts give us all a great assignment for the future. First we need to find the cause of the problem and then to work more upon it. In definitely the strongest competition, our hip hop group “Hoperi s’ Moravu� gained the excellent 5th place, and Spektar, Kraljevo in cooperation with Star Dance gained the 8th place. If we take in consideration long lasting dominance of other dance schools in the discipline mentioned, these results should be great motivation for us. Ivana Jovasevic’s work confirms that being authentic has its place in broadly accepted hip hop style. This gives us right to keep trying on “our own� way. We can consider the first competition to be successful and we certainly should draw lessons for the continuation of the season.

Results of our other competitors has only proved that Star Dance surely has dancers for solo and duo disciplines, considering the fact that till recently our Studio has mostly dominated in group dances. We specially emphasize the trainers of our Studio, especially Ana Simic but Jelena Djokic, Ivana Janusevic, Ivana Ceriman and, of course, Ratko Milikic, because all mentioned dancers have given their incomputable contribution to success. Gratitude also goes to work of Top Team with Dusan Slavkovic at head of the club and organization which was excellent by remarks of supervisors and judges. Unfortunately not everything went perfect because of injuries of our competitors Isidora Nikolic and Nemanja Bozovic for whom the competition haven’t had a complete happy ending. Anyway the conclusion of all attendants wad that this competition was great and that this means only greater incentive for our club’s future work. Once more, sincere congratulations to all!!!

Results from the Competition in Vrnjacka Banja

Dance Studio “Star Dance” has continued its domination in Small groups and Formation categories, thus absolutely taking the headline of the most successful club at the competition in Vrnajcka Banja. In Disco Dance and Kids and Grown- ups categories we were very convincing, and in Juniors category competitors of “Apel” from Kragujevac as competitors of “Fenix” from Nis, were deservedly better. In Hip- Hop discipline our competitors got their place in finals and worth mentioning is that the competition in this discipline was the toughest one… Street dance show, as the newest discipline, brought bronze medal to our studio thanks to great performance of kids from the Formation category. All in all, general assessment is that Star Dance still dominates and still is in the very top of group dances… Considering that organizing such Championship took employees a lot of time, we consider mentioned results to be a genuine achievement.

The competition of the season is in Vrnjacka

The competition our club organizes, in Vrnjacka Banja, is "cherry on top" of the whole season. Large number of competitors and tough competition is expected. Close to 1500 competitors from over 30 clubs, guarantee a real contest, and our studio vindicates a large number of trophies from previous seasons. As a matter of fact, Star Dance's specialties are disciplines of Small group (up to 7 dancers) and formation (up to 24 dancers). This competition represents a genuine check of our work over the whole season.

Star Dance excellent

Competition in disciplines solo and duo, splendidly organized by dance clubs "A'pel" and SAPO at SC "Mladost" in Kragujevac, was visited by 29 clubs with over 600 competitors. Star Dance scored a remarkable performance, thus showed that it's getting more serious in competing for the highest rank. In disciplines which have not been our specialty until now, we achieved five wins and two second places and large number of finals...
